PENTHOUSE MAGAZINE
Penthouse is a men's magazine founded by Bob Guccione in 1965 that combines urban lifestyle articles and photography of the world’s most beautiful women.
As a graphic designer and photo editor, I supported the Penthouse art department across a wide range of ancillary design and production needs—including editorial layout design, cover concepts, photo editing, and in-house advertising. My responsibilities included creating cover layout options, designing in-house ads, and producing marketing graphics, such as the full suite of visuals promoting the Pet of the Month feature. I also served as art director for select marketing projects—pitch decks, lookbooks, and style guides—shaping the brand’s presentation across external communications.
My work combined refined typography, cohesive layout design, and thoughtful image treatment to deliver polished, brand-aligned visuals across both editorial and marketing channels.

I took on an art direction role for brand-focused projects such as pitch decks and style guides, overseeing layout, image selection, and tone to ensure cohesive, polished presentations. The copy would then be refined around the chosen layouts by my creative director and eventually pitched by our licensing department or used internally.

At Penthouse Magazine, I worked across cover layout design, photo editing, and in-house advertising, helping shape the publication’s visual identity from concept to print. I developed cover options that emphasized strong visual hierarchy and brand recognition, retouched and prepared photography for publication, and designed ad materials that extended the magazine’s look and feel across marketing touchpoints. I was credited in the masthead for all issues of Penthouse Magazine from March 2017 through May/June 2020, and in Penthouse Letters from July 2016 through February/March 2020.
